2 Years
By the time your child reaches around 2 years of age, you may notice their growth starts to feel a little more steady — but clothing sizes can still vary more than many parents expect. In Australia, this stage is usually labelled Size 2, M or simply 2 years, although the actual fit can differ between brands depending on fabric stretch, cut, and design.
As a general guide, Size 2 is designed for toddlers approximately 2 years old, often suiting children weighing around 12–14kg and measuring up to about 92cm in height. Of course, every child grows at their own pace, so weight and height are usually more reliable indicators than age alone when choosing the right size.
This is such a busy and adventurous stage. Toddlers are often running, climbing, exploring playgrounds and becoming more independent, so comfortable clothing that allows movement — along with durable fabrics and easy-on waistbands — can make everyday dressing much simpler for both parents and children.
