10 Years
By the time kids reach around 10 years old, life is usually pretty full — think school commitments, sport, social plans and lots of growing (sometimes all at once!). At this stage, clothing needs to strike that sweet spot between comfort, durability and a style they actually feel good wearing.
In Australia, this age group is most commonly labelled Size 10 or 10 years, but as many parents discover, the fit can still vary between brands depending on fabric, cut and overall design. As a general guide, Size 10 often suits kids weighing around 32–36kg and measuring up to about 140cm in height. Because growth patterns can be quite different at this age, checking height and build rather than relying on age alone can really help you choose the best fit.
Kids at this stage are often more independent with getting dressed and more aware of their personal style, so practical features still matter. Look for quality fabrics that wash well, comfortable fits for busy days, adjustable details where possible, and easy layers for changing seasons.
