11 Years

By around 11 years old, many kids are growing quickly and starting to move into that in-between stage — not little kids anymore, but not quite teens either. Clothes at this age need to feel comfortable, age-appropriate and able to keep up with busy school days, sport and social life.

In Australia, this stage is usually labelled Size 11 or 11 years, although sizing can still vary between brands. As a general guide, Size 11 often suits kids weighing around 36–40kg and measuring up to about 145cm in height. Because growth can be unpredictable, checking height and overall build is often more helpful than going by age alone.

At this stage, many kids are more aware of how clothes look and feel, so choosing quality fabrics, easy layers and flexible fits can help them stay comfortable and confident day to day. Allowing a little extra room — especially in outerwear and everyday essentials — can also help manage those sudden growth spurts.
